About

On Sept. 28 2019, I met some of the most interesting and genuine folks of my life at the ‘Bigfoot in the Park’ festival at Medoc Mtn State Park. Meeting and listening to people’s experiences from the local area, across NC and VA.

I am not a bigfoot rookie at all. Seen all the TV shows and you tube videos. Familar with tree knocks, tree stuctures, howls etc. After talking to a few people that have had encounters in the Medoc Mtn park itself, I was abit reserved. Decided to go out hiking a few times by myself and see what will happen.

Oct. 3 2019 was an extremely hot day with temps in the high 90s. Headed up to Medoc in the early afternoon to find NO ONE at the park at all. Got my back pack on and did a few single power tree knocks in the parking lot area and at the edge of the woods. I headed down the Bluff Loop trail doing one more single power tree knock at the trail head. My plan was to walk as quietly as possible on the trail. It is about a 5-10 minute walk down the Bluff Loop trail and you meet Fishing Creek which twists and turns through the main part of the park. On the opposite side of the creek is woods. No trails. That day it was quiet, still and creepy. I walked a couple hundred yards along the creek when a loud single tree knock blasted from the woods on the opposite side of the creek. Pandora’s Box slowly began to open !
